Coats and Waxed Cloth
“A coat is not finished until its second winter.”
Elswick has waxed cotton in the same Northumberland shed since 1908, using a dry wax that leaves no shine. The cloth is proofed twice and cured in the open air.
The house re-waxes any coat it has made, at any age, for the cost of the wax alone.
